The new Santa Fe has a strong and stylish new look. It’s designed with more room inside, so you can load more cargo. The back door is wider and taller, making it easier to put things in the trunk. It’s also a little bigger overall, offering more space inside for passengers. Now, it comes with three rows of seats as standard. Depending on the model, it can seat six or seven people comfortably. The middle row can be a bench or, in the top model, two separate seats with adjustments. It’s also simple to reach the roof for extra storage because of handy hidden handles by the back windows.
The car comes with two engine choices:
- The first option is a powerful 2.5-liter engine with turbocharge technology, capable of 277 horsepower.
- The second option is a smaller, 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that’s part of a hybrid system. It can produce 178 horsepower on its own, but together with the electric system, it gives a combined power of 231 horsepower.
The more powerful 2.5-liter engine works with an eight-speed transmission. The hybrid version uses a slightly simpler six-speed automatic transmission.
You can pick either front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) for most of the car models, however, there’s also a special model designed for off-road driving called the XRT, which only comes with all-wheel drive.
The Santa Fe has some exciting new features. Now there’s a convenient storage area that both front and back seat passengers can easily use. All the models for 2024 can get updates over the air. There’s a big 12.3-inch screen right in front of the driver that shows information and connects to another 12.3-inch screen for navigation and music. You can also connect your iPhone or Android phone wirelessly. Plus, there’s the option to charge two devices at the same time without cords, a special compartment that uses UV light to clean things, and a mirror that uses a camera to give you a clear view of what’s behind your car.
The 2024 Santa Fe XRT also receives some major upgrades with increased capability in mind. For the first time on any Hyundai vehicle, all-terrain tires are standard on XRT, paired with unique black-finish alloy wheels. Thanks in part to its 30-inch tires, the XRT also boasts increased ground clearance +1.3″ greater than other trims. XRT also features improved towing capacity from 3,500 lbs. to 4,500 lbs..
