Returning to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for the first time since 2019, Kia is generating buzz announcing its plans to unveil five new concept vehicles at the highly anticipated Las Vegas tech show early next month. Redefining Purpose-Built vehicles (PBVs), Kia is set to introduce their new concept called “Platform Beyond Vehicle,” which represents the company’s new holistic vision for future mobility solutions.
At the heart of the showcase will be five PBV concept cars designed to cater to customer needs and preferences: three midsized vehicles, a large vehicle and a small vehicle, each representing Kia’s commitment to innovation and versatility.
One of the standout features that Kia plans to highlight during the exhibition is the groundbreaking concept of “Easy Swap,” which allows for the swift reconfiguration of a vehicle enabling it to adapt to different transportation purposes seamlessly. For example, Easy Swap can be used to transform a taxi cab into a cargo delivery vehicle, showcasing Kia’s dedication to optimization of resources and efficiency.
Additionally, the Kia display will exhibit its “Dynamic Hybrid” concept, which promises to revolutionize production efficiencies. Dynamic Hybrid assembles various sizes of car bodies for various car models in smaller production quantities.
At an outdoor exhibit Kia will demonstrate its EV6 and EV9 vehicles.
An official press conference detailing plans will occur on Jan. 8, 2024. CES will take place at the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center from Jan. 9 to 12, 2024.
