MY 2015-16 Hyundai Elantra Recall

Hyundai is calling back over 186,000 Elantra sedans from the 2015 and 2016 model years. The problem is with a part you’d use in an emergency to open the trunk from the inside. In very hot weather, this latch might not work properly and could be hard to use, which could be dangerous. Hyundai dealers will fix this for free by putting in a new part. If you own one of these cars, you’ll get a notice starting April 15. If you have questions before then, you can call Hyundai at 855-371-9460 or look up your car’s details on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website using your car’s unique identification number.
