Pricing for Hyundai’s Ioniq 5N SUV, the 641 hp performance variant has been announced. The all-wheel-drive EV with two motors is priced at $67,475, including a destination fee of $1,375, which is about $25,000 more than the least expensive model of the same EV. The good news is at $67,475 the Ioniq 5N comes with all possible Ioniq 5 options and features included, so there are no factory options to increase the price, other than the recently announced “NPX1” aero items which will be available directly from Hyundai soon. NPX1 items allow owners to customize their N car with items sold by Hyundai, including a carbon front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, rear wing spoiler, lightweight hybrid carbon wheels, high-performance brake pads and lowering springs.
When comparing an Ioniq 5N to a base Ioniq 5, the 5N delivers twice the horsepower, better battery cooling, larger front brakes with reinforced regenerative braking, forged wheels and an upgraded suspension system.
Competitors, Ford’s Mustang Mach E GT Performance and Tesla Model Y Performance will be less expensive than Hyundai’s Ioniq 5N but also have 100 less ponies. The Ioniq 5 N costs approximately $4,500 more than the Kia EV6 GT (576 hp) and is slightly cheaper than the Genesis GV60 Performance.
