Genesis G90 to Exceed Mercedes S-Class in Price

The Genesis G90 luxury sedan is set to launch in Europe, specifically in Germany and Switzerland on September 26th.

The 2023 Genesis G90 competes with top models from Mercedes, BMW, and Audi. It comes in two versions: normal and long wheelbase. Prices start at around €115,000 ($122,756) in Germany and 129,300 CHF ($144,141) in Switzerland for the standard version, and around €125,000 ($133,430) and 139,400 CHF ($155,400) for the long wheelbase version.

In terms of luxury car prices, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class starts at €111,729.10 ($119,264), while the BMW 7 Series begins at €116,000 ($123,823). The Audi A8 has a base price of €101,900 ($108,772). In the United States, the Genesis G90 starts at $88,400 and offers two powertrain options: the 3.5T AWD with 375 horsepower and the 3.5T E-Supercharger AWD with 409 horsepower.

The European-spec G90 features a powerful 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 gasoline engine with a 48-volt electric supercharger. It offers a total output of 409 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque, and comes with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

G90 customers may option different wheelbase lengths, exterior colors, interior colorways, and garnishes. Both variants come equipped with features like Ergo Motion seats, touchscreen displays, and climate control. The G90 also offers onboard fragrance, UV-C light disinfection, a Mood Curator, infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, fingerprint authentication, premium audio, wood trim, and more. The sedan will be available for purchase in Germany and Switzerland starting September 26.
