Owner spotlight: AC

TD: Subaru WRX STI to Kia Stinger does not neatly seem to be an apples to apples comparison. What was it about the WRX STI (aside from all wheel drive) that made you interested, and what was it about the Stinger that swayed you?

AC: The STI has always been a dream car of mine for some reason. I love it’s ability to traverse through very extreme conditions. I also love the sound of the boxer engine. It’s unique. The Stinger has everything and more when you put it up against the STI.

TD: So now that you’ve been driving your Stinger a few weeks, what is your favorite thing about it?

AC: I’d have to say my favorite part about this car is it’s unlocked potential and also the ability to install any of the mods I want on my own.

TD: Least favorite thing?

AC: I can honestly say that I haven’t found that out yet. Lol I think they could’ve done a better job with the storage space that’s in between the driver and passenger seat. There could definitely be a little more room.

TD: I believe you’ve been doing some mods to your car. What are they?

AC: I’ve done quite a few in a short period of time. For my latest mods I installed the front snorkels big mouth lit kit the same week I installed my carbon fiber hood. I installed a BMS cold air intake system within the first few weeks of ownership as well as a Borla exhaust system. Recently I added the secondary Ark downpipes which really made a huge difference with sound and performance. As far as cosmetics go, I got the roof of my car wrapped, plasti dipped my rims, and put a dark tint on my lights.

TD: You’ve been busy! Any other plans?

AC: I have lots of items still left in my cart. Lol I think I need to start pacing myself because I don’t want to take away from my music budget. I think the next mod I want to install are aftermarket BOVs, and then maybe a carbon fiber lip spoiler.

TD: Sweet! If you could travel back in time and give yourself advice based on the life experience you have now, what would that advice be?

AC: I would definitely tell my younger self to not be afraid to branch out to experience new places. Also, don’t make decisions based on making other people happy if it requires sacrificing your own happiness.

TD: Thank you AC. If people want to find out more about you or to check out your music, where should they go?

AC: People can follow me on Facebook, Instagram or my website, AC for JC.

TD: Thanks again AC.
