Motor Illustrated website has posted an article stating, “What stands out in Hyundai’s case is how widespread the oil consumption problem is and how long it has lasted.”
“The number of reported problems has prompted the launch of a huge class action suit against Hyundai in the State of California.”
“Earlier oil consumption issues were common to that Theta engine family going back well over a decade. This suit however alleges that many engine types are prone to the issues. Jalopnik, based on the list of implicated vehicles, adds that Hyundai/Kia’s Nu, Gamma, Lambda, and Kappa engines are also involved.”
