News outlets have reported that the daughter of 74-year-old Gary Levin, Kia Stinger owner and Lyft driver has died.
Mr. Levin’s remains were found by an agent with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Saturday morning near the 1100 block of Northeast 40th Avenue, just north of State Route 70 in Florida.
“My dad was truly a one of kind person, if you knew him or even met him once you know exactly what I mean when I say that,” Lindsay DiBetta wrote in a Facebook post. “The stories I have received about him from friends, family and complete strangers over the last week have lifted me up more than you can ever realize.”
The Jewish Community Services Chabad of Palm Beach is offering to cover the cost of the funeral service and burial expenses for the Palm Beach Gardens man. The synagogue says Levin and his girlfriend Kathi Ginsberg aren’t members of the congregation but relied on food donations offered by the synagogue’s food pantry.
The suspect, Matthew Flores was arrested Thursday night in North Carolina after crashing Levin’s 2022 Kia Stinger during a high-speed chase. Flores is also suspected in a murder in Hardee County. He is currently being held on multiple charges, none related to Levin’s disappearance at this time.
Lyft has released a statement that they have no record of Flores issuing a ride request on the Lyft platform.
