Hyundai Worldwide has posted to their YouTube channel a video highlighting Hyundai N Day 2023 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last week.
“N brand is the technological lighthouse of Hyundai and IONIQ 5 N represents our passion and commitment to our fans who truly enjoy driving both on track and on the road,” said Jay Chang, President and CEO Hyundai Motor Company. “I remember in the beginning we set a very high bar to achieve an electric N, with the three pillars of N performance and after my laps on the Nürburgring last week I’m so proud to say our engineers in Korea and Europe did not take a short cut to achieve these targets. I can confidently say technology of the IONIQ 5 N will increase the competitiveness of all future Hyundai EVs.”
Vice President and Head of N Brand and Motorsport, Till Wartenberg went on to say regarding why EVs have been slow in adoption by car enthusiasts, “It’s quite simply zero emissions was not enough for us car enthusiasts. We needed to show the unique EV capabilities that move the game ahead of petrol cars to our fans many of whom are here today watching online as well along with N influencers from many different countries that we invited here to Goodwood.”
