Hyundai Enters Road America Prepared to Extend Championship Lead

Fresh from a TCR victory at Lime Rock Park, Bryan Herta Autosport’s (BHA) Mark Wilkins and Mason Filippi head into the Road America weekend with hopes of extending the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge (IMPC) Drivers’ Championship lead. The co-drivers of the No. 98 Hyundai Elantra N TCR currently hold the top position in the points standings, 10 points ahead of BHA teammates Robert Wickens and Harry Gottsacker. With the win at the previous IMPC race at Lime Rock Park, Hyundai Motor America took reigns of the TCR Manufacturers’ Championship after fielding an impressive seven-car lineup. Entering the two-hour Road America 120 event, Hyundai will be represented by seven Elantra N TCR entries, including newly announced No. 99 Elantra N TCR with Victor Gonzalez Racing Team, on the grid at the 4.048-mile road course.

The green flag is set to fly for the Road America 120 on Sunday, August 6th, at 3:55 p.m. ET with broadcast of the full two-hour event on Peacock.
