DESCRIPTION:We are back for year 4 on May 13th\, 2023 at Bowen Field Stadium in Bluefield Wv! Registration opens at 8:00 am with registration ending at 12 and the trophy presentation starting around 3 pm. Registration is 20.00$ We will have a pre-registration opening in several weeks (we will post closer to time on that) Several things will be changed up this year at the show. Back by popular demand is the Dyno! Pull your ride up on the Dyno and see what horsepower your ride is putting down to the ground. We will have double the vendors for 2023. The vendor section will be in the baseball field parking lot and will also have a stage with live performances all day long during the show with local and non-local artist. Food vendors will be on-site to make sure everyone doesn’t leave on an empty stomach! Vendor spots will be first come first serve and you can set up on Friday to secure your spot…the lots will all have paid security on them all night. If you are a sponsor and want a vending spot you will be separated from normal vending spots and your location will be in the grass area where awards will be given. \nMadness in the Mountains will have a pre-party starting at 5:30 pm till 8 pm on Friday the 12th at the show location with music\, a cornhole tournament\, food\, a stereo competition\, and other activities to get you ready for the day ahead! You also will be able to register your vehicle on Friday and beat the crowd as well as get that good spot you want. We are changing up some of the trophies this year. We are adding several new categories as well as doing a top 5 from ages 15-20 and 1-14. We think it is important to get the youth involved in this hobby and also give the ones that just got their license a chance to show off what they are proud of as well. The top 50 will be 1979 and earlier and the top 50 1980- present as well as a ton of specialty\, top 5s\, and best of’s. We take pride in trying to pick the best cars at the show and believe in changing judges after every show. We have a team coming in to judge the show to make sure it’s as fair as possible and of course\, they will not have any vehicles in the show registered to compete for awards. The team has been involved in judging national events and separating themselves into classes of vehicles they know the most about and only judge them. We are a car show but also we want everyone to have a great time at our events so it’s always been important to us that the kids have the most fun so we have dedicated a lot to making sure 2023 is the most fun a kid can have at a show(stay following our page for more details) and most importantly why we do the car show. We get asked this question a lot ….why do we do this? We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization set up as a business in the state of West Virginia with the sole purpose to donate as much money as possible to the Ronald McDonald House of Southern WV! The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern West Virginia sets up at our show and we wouldn’t want it any other way! Nothing brightens our day more than helping those in need when they need it the most. If you have a Hot Rod\, a classic car\, a Rat Rod\, a patina vehicle\, Jeep\, a lifted/lowered\, a Drag car/Truck\, or whatever you take pride in we want you to bring it out on May 13th! Rain or shine\, this is a weekly event.\n\n\n \nCurrently being held in the eastern lot of Sunset Coffee due to complications with the lower southern lot due to a night crowd.\n\n\n \nif you are confused on what lot\, check out this video on where to park! https://youtu.be/9FfRXZ5Zvc8\n \n\n\nThere were constant issues with people coming at night and being excessively loud / revving/music blasting/fights\, etc. That\, along with an ownership change shut down our lower lot we were holding it in before\, as they chained it up (and now are fencing off the whole lot). We still have our meet in the upper eastern lot\, just not as we had in our lower lot.\n\n\nWe will try to get privileges to access that lower lot as our meet is more respected than the night crowd that ruined it for us. Sorry for any issues/confusion that has arisen with that.
