Cruisin’ Covington is all about getting out and cruising the town\, enjoying the company of friends\, supporting local businesses\, and just having a fun night on the town. Cruisin’ Covington is totally freestyle\, come and go as you\, please. The first groups originate at the Mallow Mall and the Wal-Mart parking lot around 6:00 PM and typically start cruising around 6:30 PM. There is no official cruise route\, but groups do tend to cruise together. While out cruising we encourage everyone to support our local restaurants and of course\, please obey all traffic laws. Barring unsafe road conditions\, expect that the show goes on! \nAutomobiles – If your car\, truck\, or SUV is your passion and you’re a respectful enthusiast\, you’re invited. All marques and all generations are invited to participate. You’ll see classic\, luxury\, and exotic automobiles and many classifications in between. \nFood & Drink – Chick-fil-A\, Panera\, Peet’s Coffee\, and Wegmans open at 6 AM for food and refreshments. Iron Rooster opens at 7 AM. \nAdmission – Free for show cars and spectators! \nDirections – I-83 to Exit 20A (Shawan Road East); 1/2 mile to HVTC on the left \nParking – Once in the parking lot\, look for the marked area (tape or cones). The marked area is set up by HVTC Security during the overnight hours so we have a dedicated space that conforms to other activities on the grounds.
