DirtFish YouTube channel has posted a video and interview with driver Sordo’s regarding his Hyundai i20 N WRC Rally One racecar catching on fire in Japan.
Sordo had reported to his team a fuel odor during the race. He also said the day prior there had been more smoke than normal. Eventually Sordo saw flames inside the car’s cabin.
“I just took my phone but I could see the steering wheel and nothing more. You can do nothing, unfortunately it was really bad.”
