650 hp – 567 ft-lb Torque Ioniq 5 N at Nurburgring

Prior to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, if you wanted an insanely quick Korean electric the only option available was the Kia EV6 GT, a crossover with a powertrain rated at 576 hp and 546 ft-lb of torque. But that was so “2022!” Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 N comes equipped with even more power delivering 650 hp and 567 ft-lb of torque in N Green Boost mode.

Aside from a substantial power boost, Hyundai’s engineers were quite intentional about giving drivers the impression of piloting a combustion-powered vehicle, including synthetic gear changes (also known as N e-Shift) which works in concert with the N Active Sound Plus system to deliver auditory response closer to that of traditional cars. The high-performance crossover will offer three specific sound modes: Ignition for an engine sound; Evolution for a sound borrowed from the RN22e and N 2025 Granturismo prototypes, and Supersonic mode, which is inspired by the sound of a jet aircraft.
